I put my headphones on, And I turn the volume high. I am taken to another place, But I can't tell you why. The music is my fix, It changes who I am, It can lead me to the alter, Like a sacrificial lamb. It can raise me up to heaven, Or take me down to hell, But it changes how I feel, And it does it very well. I turn the volume up, Higher than before, It might sound kinda crazy, But the music is my whore. When I feel all the pressure, Trying to survive I listen to the music, And it makes me feel alive. Save me oh sweet music, Carry be away, It’s just the thing I need, To get me through the day.
